Just wondering

I'm planning on buying these albums (or a few of them) and I was just wondering which ones you guys would recommend.

And if you have (one of) these albums, could you tell me what the total playing time is, because that will be a factor in whether or not I will buy these.

Anyways here they are:

Quote:

Ásmegin - Hin Vordende Sod & Sø
Cruachan - Tuatha na Gael
Falkenbach - Ok Nefna Tysvar Ty
Finntroll - Midnattens Widunder
Moonsorrow - Kivenkantaja
Moonsorrow - Suden Uni
Otyg - Älvefärd
Thanks for the information!!

You MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUST get Asmegin, or Thyrfing and I will go slay you. :p It is a GREAT GREAT GREAT album. So is the new Falkenbach. That Finntroll cd is a bit different than Jakten's Tid, kind of like comparing the latest Thyrfing cd to Urkraft. But I still like it very much. Both Moonsorrow's are quite good and that Otyg is the best of Otyg, IMHO, although I'm not a huuuuuuuuuuge Otyg fan. I'd say out of those, buy Asmegin and falkenbach first. I don't have the cd time right now, they are in the car and I am at work.

Otyg all the way!!! total playing time 42.23 min. :)

I'd say you have to al least get Asmegin and Finntroll. But the Finntroll one is only 30 minutes...

Falkenbach - Ok Nefna Tysvar Ty

I honestly did not care for this album at all. It is basiclly all clean-vocals and that doesn't do much for me when it comes to Viking Metal. I love clean vocals but not a whole disc full of them.

Finntroll - Midnattens Widunder

This is my favorite Finntroll release. It has a very special atmosphere and I highly suggest!

MOONSORROW

Your life is not complete without Suden Uni and Kivenkantaja ... get them ASAP! All three Moonsorrow releases are some of my favorite albums and you're Viking Metal collection is not complete without them.

hin vordende sod & so is a GREAT album, it's total playingtime is 42:18

ok nefna tysvar ty is also a very good album, probably the best album with falkenbach I've heard so far. it's playing time is 40:00

Let us know what you end up getting or hear and what you think. If you want, I can still get the cd length when I get home from work. I forgot to do that before. My bad.

Like I said in the buy/trade post, I just ordered my cd's.

Agalloch - the Mantle
Ásmegin - Hin Vordende Sod & Sø
Gorerotted - Only Tools and Corpses
Moonsorrow - Kivenkantaja
Otyg - Älvefärd

Alternative: Finntroll - Midnattens Widunder.

That album will be sent if one of the other isn't available. But I hope they sent the ones mentioned above!

Items will be in within 5 weeks from when they get the money *which will be on monday*

I know Agalloch wasn't on the list but I just heard the album and I was blown away! Really good album if you ask me!

Good buys! Yeah, Agalloch is great! They have some other releases also that are worth getting. "Of Stone, Wind and Pillor" and "Pale Folklore" I saw them here in Phoenix and they put on a great show! I need to get that new Gorerotted too! I love their previous releases.
