do you prefer going to festivals or single gigs?
I like one-day-fests best. but also gigs where more than 2 bands (main act and support) play.

Well I'm no big fan of concerts in general. I like listening to albums more you know. No distractions and just the music :)
But I definitely prefer one-night gigs if I have to choose.

Single gigs are better.
Festival gigs bad things...
Standing on rain or any storm weather :) Last summer i was on Himos Festival and there was so fucking bad weather that it almoust fucked all gigs there!
Single gigs good points...
You are watching only ONE band there, so you can concentrate to that band you come watch there :D
...and of course your head will not be so painful than three/two days gigs
hmm,,,FUCK, i can't talk english anymore at all :(
you shouldn't swear though ... =)
huu, opi, another gig today? :o
so far haven't been to any festivals, so dunno ... o.O

i prefer open air fest... you know, i drink beer with friends and talk and somewhere playing music :D it's great. also i hate fest/gigs with 6-8 bands... i'm always tired after 3-4 bands :(

Single gigs. Festivals have bad habit of turning into a 3 day alcoholic binge, that you can't remember anything about.

I was there too, and the weather wasn't a problem for me, but the people and whole atmosphere of the festival just sucked. It was third and last time at Himos for me. Three days of idiots is enough...

another gig today? :)
I like listening to albums more you know. No distractions and just the music when thinking back of the agathodamon gig, I can fully understand you http://imbiss-coding.de/smiliez.de/smiliez/smiliez.de_2330.gif they either had an extraordinarily BAD day or just cannot play live.. they played much of the latest album, so I knew the songs, but hardly any was well recognizable...I could blame the sound-technicians, but on the other hand: the 3 other bands before had an excellent sound... (that doesn't mean I liked all of them tho)
You are watching only ONE band there, so you can concentrate to that band you come watch there I havn't been to a gig yet where only one band plays http://imbiss-coding.de/smiliez.de/smiliez/smiliez.de_1123.gif there's always been at least one support act (local or not)

also i hate fest/gigs with 6-8 bands... i'm always tired after 3-4 bands 8 bands is really too many for one evening. 4-6 is best number :) considering that every band plays about 50 minutes (usually)

Single nights. The price may be higher compared to festivals(where you can se plenty of bands with rather small money). Also at festivals the partying eats the strenght, especially if you're there for more than just one day...

single gigs always better and... if in a small smoky and dark club with kinda gothic atmosphere but not full of people... I mean... where you can move your hand with a cigarette in your fingers without burning somebody's heairs... then better than better... and if on the guest list and no need to pay ticket and free drinks then this is the best
