AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHRG!
what an amazing show! dismember headlined in a tiny venue which was totally sold out. the stage had a height of about 20cm, yet the air was swarming with stagedivers. the sound was brilliant. and the moshpit decent.
what else could you wish for?
a friend of mine took some pictures. follow this LINK (http://www.karlakolumna.de.vu/).
here's the setlist (as far as i can remember):
opener:
- where ironcrosses grow
middle-part (not so sure about the order):
- soon to be dead (inhuman moshpit!)
- of fire
- casket garden (much better than on cd)
- tragedy of the faithful (announced as a salute to maiden)
- skin her alive
- let the napalm rain
- chasing the serpent (i think so, at least some groovy song from the new album)
- in death's sleep (a break to get some oxygen and water for me)
- skinfather
last regular song:
- override of the overture
encore:
- dismembered
- dreaming in red
what a perfect mixture of countless old classix and a representative selection of newer stuff, and even some surprises.
btw, the supporting bands were interesting as well:
soul demise (D), played instead of sanatorium. not original, but quite good.
psycroptic (AUS) technical, yet comprehensible.
anata (S), very complicated and brutal, not quite my cup of tea.
