yo, what's up
my nick is the title of a meshuggah song, a fucking blast!
my name is Phil, I'm 18 years old and play guitar and bassguitar.
I got to know In-Quest via the magazine 'Mindview', there was a short interview 1-2 years ago with Svencho about the release of 'Destination: Pyroclasm', and me being a big fear factory fan was immediatly attracted to In-Quest's music... so for the moment In-Quest ends up one of my fav bands amongst In Flames and Metallica.
the forum just popped up on the last check of the In-Quest site, so I decided to join. :D
can't find any pics of myself, so maybe I'll post one later or who knows :) .

My name is Wouter Roemers. From the much despised Limburg, Belgium.
Got to know In-Quest years and years back, through paper zines and such. Bought couple of their old records on Graspop Metal Meeting equal as much years back, the band was back in the ancient line-up still back then.
Got to know this forum thru Sven (the former vocalist) since he's one my MSN and real life buddies.
Got to meet Mike when they played in Mol couple of weeks ago.

My user name is the name i use in my band La Brigada (site in construction (http://www.labrigada.cl) ), I'm not revealing it for your own safety, haha! but it's quiet easy to find out. Corvo is the name of the official combat knive of chilean infantry forces, her's a pic:
http://www.aceros-de-hispania.com/image/knives-corvos-chile/corvos-knives.jpg
I met soph, MiQe and Eve Ill at morbid metal (rip), where la brigada shared the bands forum with miQe's former band, blockhead. Then, after morbid metal died, soph invited me to join here. how i came to meet IQ, well, is quiet clear if i know the new singer, right? I'm quiet glad i came to know IQ, 'cause one hell of a band guys, hell yeah!
Pics of me with miQe and Eve Ill are in these links, 'cause they were bloody big.

aka steven, 26 years old, I'm from Aarschot, belgium. The nick comes from the opening track to Entombed's 'Morning star'-album...
I knew IQ from a long time ago, but I really got into it since the Pyroclasm disc...
I play also the guitars in a band called Sludge Phenomenon, that sounds like a modern blend of thrash & deathmetal I suppose...

"Let us know who you are, your name, what your username means, how did you hear of this forum, how did you get to know in-Quest!!! and maybe a pic of yourself.........."
Oki here I go,
I am the Dougbiatch aka the big balled bastard aka the bottenzot, guitar player for In-Quest since 1999. I'm the usually bad shaved one, the one with the wrong guitar, the drunk one at the wrong times and, as they say, the one that always arrives too late (though the drumbitch usually is the real cause for this ;)).
I really took my time coming up with this really cool nickname, and I ended up with the acronym "Douglas"; many people have looked it up in ancient mythology, sorcery manuals and old kranky computer games; but noone has found its origin; everyone comes up to me wondering where the hell i got this real occult and evil nickname from...I guess I have my moments every now and then.
I heard of the forum thru Miqe, who came up with the idea of having a forum here at HMAS. We were actually forced to do it by Soph, the trüe and kvlt webmistress of HMAS, who threatened us in several kinky ways (yes, it involved lube and latex) to have a forum up and running.
I got to know In-Quest since they are from my neighbourhood, so I basically grew up with them. I always thought of them as a really cool and skilled band, a band with a real message for once, a message of dedication, fun and friendship. Being an In-Quester is something that is in your blood I guess; I wouldn't trade this band for any other band out there, that's for sure....

Haha! I'm pretty sure you're just softening the truth. Knowing soph, i'd say lube and latex just for a starter.
Send me a couple of IQ CDs with mike for this weekend.

Just registered...
My real name is Nick (or NocK as some call me), will be 20 years old this saturday, living in Edegem (near Antwerp).
I got to know IN-Quest thanks to Peter Meynckens (singer of Axamenta) who I've known for quite some time now (and of course I'm a huge fan of the Axa-clan). I just asked for some good bands and he put on the Epileptic-album, song Scorched and I got interested. I've started visiting the website and after listening to the MP3's, I had to get that album!!! (Douglas might remember me when I ordered :blahblah: )
Probably the first time that I'll see you guys live will either be the Kaddish-gig (Schoten with Axamenta!!! :D ) or the Fear Factory-gig @ Hof Ter Loo...

I play drums in a band called Cooperate, hence the nickname.
I first saw In-Quest when they played at the Metal At The Attic-fest in Turnhout, I think the year was 1998. We were all pretty impressed by their performance. Indeed, they already ruled back then. The plan was to lure them to our hometown Mol and get them hooked on alcohol. This proved to be rather easy. I think it's safe to say that on that moment, Mol became the new homefront for In-Quest, even though none of the bandmembers live there.
I do have a picture, but it seems to be too large to attach. And since I don't know shit about computer stuff, I'm giving up. Cheers bombers!!!!!
i remember you from graspop!

When you say you've seen 'us' play, do you mean In-Quest? Or Cooperate? Cause we haven't played there(yet). You probably meant In-Quest anyway.
Litany
12-30-2004, 04:26 AM
Real name : Vanessa
User name reason : Litany is an album from one of my favorite Death metal bands and probably the most consistent band in this spectrum : Vader . I usually go by message boards with other user names but I was just listening to that CD when I registered so there ya go :D
Location : Lisbon, Portugal ( We have some good DM bands over here! worth having a listen )
Favorite type of metal : Pretty much all Death metal and Death/grind ;basically.
Why In-Quest : This american guy whom i talked to on the internet told me about you guys, he said i'd like the music and that Sven ( I'm an Aborted fan \m/ ) was on vocals , and then send me Epileptic. I couldn't agree more! Your way of playing DM and making it fresh inserting other influences without loosing any heaviness completely got to me.
I've been reading this forum ever since it's been up but never got the time to post. Btw the idea for a Street teamn is really intriguing.
Message for the band and all users : Stay fucking brutal!! \m/>_<\m/
Oh..and In-Quest ...Get your asses to play a gig over here! :viking:

I got to know In-Quest at the "Epileptic"-time through a friend who knew about my love technical death metal bands and polyrythmic songs. So the first song I heard was "Neurofractal Bypass", still one of my favourite songs (not only In-Quest but general). I bought "Epileptic" at some underground mailorder and was blasted by that record - and on this years Up From the Ground festival I finally got "The Comatose Quandary".
@MiQe: Still have to say that your vocals so much more fitting to the music than Svencho's did, though I like his work in Aborted a lot!
Douglas violently forced me to join here ;) quite good idea! So let#s see what happens to me here...
I'm 21 years old now, so still in the beauty of my life :D I'm a trainee for some clerk thing, don't ask. Not my cup of tea, anyway :( Music has become my life through the past years - I play in two bands now: UNCUT DESPITE, doing some very weird death-grind-jazz-metal-something, and DOWNTIME - Death Metal inspired by Dismember and fueled by a lot of *.core-attitude which you really should check out!
That's enough of me. I'll post pictures soon!
EDIT: Uhm... my avatar shows a pic... or some pics of mine btw. ;)
