View Full Version : I hope the next album is more like...

...ill natured spiritual invasions, or the pagan prosperity. I thought those two albums were absolute gems because of how different they are from most black metal that I've heard. Their other two albums were excellent also but I just liked the sound of those two so much I hope Galder thinks so too when he makes the next album.

It would seem he has a lot of classical influences in Galder's music. I listen mainly to black metal and classical, and find many similarities between his music and (some) classical music. Anyone else like classical here? =D (like Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi..)

I hope Galder get Gene Hoglan(I know he wasn`t a member) back on drums, ill-natured... must be one of the greatest albums ever, if not the greatest!?!?! the perfect mix between gene`s amzing drums (not typical black drumming) and Galders amzing ...eh... every (musically that is:) )... so Galder must get Gene back and what if he also got Maniac on guest vocal on some track for the next album ...hehehe... that would be great!
btw I`m back, got my own ezboard too (dark fucking metal forum) visit it at some of my pages thetruemayhem, (http://thetruemayhem,) 666gorgoroth.cjb.net (http://666gorgoroth.cjb.net) or infernalempire.cjb.net (http://infernalempire.cjb.net)

Personally I thought Ill-natured... was a slightly weaker album than the rest of the amazing OMC releases, but I agree that Gene Hoglan was amazing with the drums! It would be great if Galder would work with him again in the future...

Ill-Natured was a really good album and much better than Revelation...mainly cos' vocals are far better in previous albums, you can hear what Galder is , eh , singing and the whole production was much better, the new albums sounds Tägtren's Dimmu-esque, even it is pretty good album though

You have a point there: sadly everyone uses Tägtgren as a producer nowadays. He gets one hell of a sound, but as you say some bands sounds very similar after his production. But I don't think that the latest DB and OMC releases sounds very much like each other. For starters I think OMC kicks Dimmu's ass...
But I guess that there will be less "Tägtgren-sounding" albums from now on. I read somewhere that he will focus more on writing and producing pop songs in the future (it was in some swedish newspaper I think). He has gotten pretty well known by the mainstream people after his success with the Pain album (Rebirth)...

I have only hear couple of songs from Dimmu, and of course it is clear that OMC kicks ass as compared to Dimmu or any other black metal act...But Tägtren produced also Childen of Bodom new album but luckily, the Wizard Karmila mixed it all over again, and it sounds much better after that. I heard some master tapes and it sound, well I say dimmu... but now it sounds Bodom....
It's nice to hear that Peter is moving to mainstream music, maybe we get some good music there too....
What kind of music is that Pain project anyway ? some pop or ? not very famous act in Finland though .

Pain is some metal riffs mixed with disco/techno rhythms or something (I am not very good in describing those kind of music styles). Pretty good for headbanging on some dance floor :)
But of course his HYPOCRISY is way better!!!

Yeah Hypocrisy is killer band and the way Peter sings is good, brilliant, I just hope that he will not produce the new OMC, hear me Galder....
And about the Pain, I heard their "hit" songs as I visit my local music store and it was fun shit indeed... Heh after all it seems that Peter is a good man...way to go...

Who knows, next thing might be producing the next Britney Spears single
I agree, would be nice with dífferent production on the next album. But probably that will happen anyway, Galder have never used the same studio twice so far...
Have you heard Galders work on the new Dimmu Borgir album by the way? I think his influences are pretty easy to hear...

I would not say that Galder has had many influences in the new Dimmu. Most music was already written by Shagrath, Silenoz and Mustis before Galder joined them. So I don't feel like he influenced PEM that much... and I do know Galder's style (got 4 OMC-albums), so I know what I'm talking about, but I do not find any big Galder-influences in the album. There are some, but not many...

I ain't like dimmu at all so I haven't hear Galder's influences on that album, mostly their music sounds crap for me , maybe they have made this time a good album, gotta go to my friend and listen it then, umm is it released allready anyway, well all I have to do is check finnish Top40 cos' they will be there anyway as soon as they release their new album... *smiles*

The new DB is decent, but you should check out Susperia's PREDOMINANCE first. It is much better - Tjodalv never lets us down...
Maybe I like the new DB better than the previous ones because Galder is a member now :) Anyway, if it should be DB it should be Stormblåst - excellent album!
