Ok, we'll start off with Neblarium, since a lot of people haven't heard the new album. The first round will be a week, since the forum is rather new, and we'll probably be getting more members as people find out about it.

IF you don't know the rules, vote for the song you like least, until only the best survives!

Disarmonia looks rather Italian to me... i'd say latin was disHarmonia. But then again, i could be wrong, i quit latin last year :D

Hei man, it's time for the next poll!!!

That's a pity for Into D.M., it remembers me the music of Knight Rider!!!!

you're right, the word "disarmonia" belongs to italian language, the only latin part of the nick is the "mundi" one... just read it on an interview to the band on the net, so I'm pretty sure about it

I'm sorry Benny but as far as I read it in every interview about the band I still think that you are the one that's wrong about it... :finger:

Open a latin vocabulary and search for the word "Disarmonia"... I can bet my ass that you won't find it...
:ass:

do u need an example buddy?

here we go

"Actually, what does "Disarmonia Mundi" mean?

It's a mixture of both italian and latin language, it means "Disharmony of the World". "

taken from the www.vampire-magazine.com interview...

I'll give you the easyest example, man:

It was ME and my classmate Marco Corti who decided that "Disarmonia Mundi" was a good name for a band, during a boring latin lesson in the late 1997.

In that lesson our teacher (a crazy woman that we used to call Batman because of her fuckin' mantle :D ) gave us a paper with a poem of Catullo (or some fucker like him) that was telling some shit about our beautiful world and the "armonia mundi" (in latin you'd say "armònia" and not "harmònia").
Of course it wasn't "metal" enough for us and we started speaking about "Disarmonia Mundi", simply putting before that negative latin suffix. The disharmony of the world.

So that word isn't in the vocabulary simply because that's an invention. But we pronunciate it "Disarmònia" in the latin way and not "Disarmonìa" just because we well know that it belongs to latin and not to italian.
Ettore pronunciates it right as well, but maybe he doesn't remember the origin of that name: it was suggested to him from Marco two years later when he decided to form a band.

and the right pronunciation is "Disarmònia Mùndi" (I don't know the phonetic way to write it in english)

Take care of your vocabulary man!

MAN, YOU'RE NUTS!!!!

I don't care if you "invented" it or not, but if you take a look at that goddamn latin vocabulary you see written in clear fonts the word HARMONIA not ARMONIA... :smug: , I'm checkin' it right now honey... :finger:

Anyway, this is gettin' really boring so.....

PEACE AND TAKE CARE :D

....and read a book from time to time instead of sleepin' on it ;)
