Tours, gigs.....

Hopefully there will be a tour or lots of gigs in Finland after this new record....At least one in Tampere or at Tuska...Or at both.....:)Haven't had a chance to see Insomnium live yet....

I'm also hoping for lots and lots of gigs (and especially that Insomnium would play at Nummirock this summer). And i'm pretty sure that there will be, at least in Finland. :)

Insomnium should play at Tuska, not in Ilosaarirock. Although Ilosaari is a great festival, but still. Insomnium has played in there so many times, now it's Tuska's turn. :)

Ahh well, at least I know they'll be here (Helsinki) this ~summer. These events seem to be really rare, new superb album etc. and still so few gigs. Obviously students don't have so much time but what I've understood, they'd like to do more gigs. Don't really know who to point but this finger will be for the one responsible.. :)

Obviously we would play in Nosturi or Tavastia or Tuska mainstage every night, but these things are really not up to us. You can't just call these places and book a night for the show. We have gigs in almost all the biggest cities of Finland this spring and summer, so the situation is a lot better than with the first album.

I hope that the situation is still good next summer, because then I`ll be 18 and able to see you :)

But I`ve noticed that many not-so-well-known bands play places which are k-18, and thats weird.
Like younger people wouldn`t want to see them...

That's true. I also missed a lot of good gigs when I was younger. But, the sad fact is that bands don't get to decide where they play, and even if they wanted to do a age-limit-free-gig, it's rarely up to them. (Exept if you're in a band like Nightwish or something...)

According to the Tuska-web site, there will be a gig at the "before-club" (or whatever...) of Tuska at Stella Star on thursday before the Tuska-weekend...Of course it has to be on thursday, me coming to Helsinki on friday....But fortunately there is the gig at Tampere on 2.6....

I took about 80 pics, and those 22 were the best ones. It was really hard to get sharp pictures, because my hands were shaking so much. Too much caffeine, damnit! :P

About the performance itself... It was very good, as Insomnium gigs always are. I was hoping for more older songs, like Elder or Medeia, but you can't win all the time. New songs worked very well live, especially Daughter of the Moon.

Can't wait for the July 15th.

Tomorrow it is! Insomnium warming up for the tuska-weekend. A must see, last they played near enough I wasn't able to go so this is the first time. Yaahoo! :)

I bet some of you will too be there, probably not active enough here to see this but have a nice evening and weekend! I already broke my camera at Nummirock but hopefully my girlfriend will take hers so you foreigners can get some nice shots of the gig. The place is so small that should be able to get really nice pictures from very close.
