Anyway, that got 'em drunk fast and they didn't feel pain. Maybe that's what you should eat before a Heavy metal gig, so you don't feel the pain when some hits you. Vikings rule...

I ate mushrooms once and it didn't get me drunk, it made me trip. And it was good, I was certainly not complaining ;) There is no need for alcohol when mushrooms are about.

Yepp,the Berserks (Berserkr) got foooookin´high just before the battle by eating mushrooms and other @#%$,drinking "mushroom-infected" piss etc.And then they were so @#%$ out of control that they of course attacked the enemy with ehh..."Strenght and Honour",heh. :)
There were also some serious problems with the berserks,like if they got high too early before the battle,because when travelling in the sea the Berserks sometimes were so outraged they forgot where they were and jumped straight to the Ägir´s kingdom while going after an imagined enemy.Also some cases have been where the warrior in a berserk-state has been calmed down by letting him bite the ship they were travelling until he calms down.
So,my conclusion is,that eat mushrooms and bite your....ehh,car?
