Now that we've discussed about movies (and hopefully we'll continue to do so), I thought we could also discuss about our favourite series.
so, once again, not in any particular order, my favourites:
Babylon 5: I'm speechless. I have every episode on the tape, and I've watched the whole series (abt. 110 episodes and 4 movies) several times, and I still love it. Great plot (especially in seasons 3-4.), some great actors (Peter Jurasik, Andreas Katsulas, Walter Koenig) with great characters (Londo, G'Kar, Bester and Garibaldi).
MacGyver: Watched this when I was kid, and watched the re-run a few years ago. Especially the first season are GREAT, unfortunately becomes too involved in opposing various things, as racism and drugs. Still, my absolute favourites, and my favourite character is without a doubt: Murdoc! The Immortal Assassin! (with MacGyver (and Thornton) being his only living opponent!)
Twin Peaks: I saw this the first only a year ago, but a great series, especially the 1st season. Too bad it sort of never came to a real end. (with the demon inside agent Cooper)
X-Files: What can I say? The later seasons are a bit boring, but otherwise...

hmm, I don't watch tv anymore. (I've stopped reading newspapers aswell: I always got too pissed off with the endless stupidity of the human being.) and what I used to watch as a kid is not much to reminisce.
Twin Peaks, from what little I saw, seemed eerie enough to suit me, but I never bothered to follow it closely. at some point Babylon 5 was good, but then it became too much of a day drama. The X Files... occasionally very satisfying for the paranoid I-hate-your-guts-USA type that I am. not much else, then.

B5 got a little boring in the beginning of the 5th (the last) season, but the final 10-12 episodes were quite good.
No TV? Well, I guess much of the programs in TV are kakkaa, but there are some...better shows to watch.

Oz, The X-Files, One Foot In The Grave (probably the best britcom programm ever!), The Fast Show, Smitgh & Jones (LuntaTupaan), Knight Rider (all time favorite :) ), Xena.

I have never understood british sense of humor, but Smith & Jones have made me laugh several times. Otherwise I could but stand quietly while my friends laughed at last day's Fast Show's jokes.

I don't watch TV so much these days, but some series I have used to observe include Twin Peaks, The X Files and McGyver. Possibly some others as well. As for British comedy, it's Monty Python's Flying Circus, of course!

series? on TV? oh, not me, I rarely will watch TV unless there's an historical documentary or something like that. I like to watch wildlife programmes - I like to watch animal behaviour. It's often better than human behaviour from what I have observed.
Otherwise, I don't have time for TV really - I prefer to read. There's no stupid commercial advert interruptions when reading ;)

I watch TV all the time! Several hours a day...
fave shows include: Twin Peaks (the show of all shows!), Millennium, Friends and stuff like The Tonight Show and The Late Show + tons of other @#%$ (sit-coms mostly...)
I confess, I'm a TV-holic...

what exactly is this Twin Peaks? Isn't that a soap opera? Why do men like it so much?
To be honest, I learn more about what is on American TV from Euro friends that I could ever know on my own.

TWIN PEAKS
The show was created by director David Lynch back in 1989. An eerie series with supernatural features dealing with the search of a young girl's (prom-queen/drug addict - the usual story  ) murderer. Lots of weird @#%$ like demons etc...
Great actors (Kyle MacLachlan, Michael Ontkean, Mädchen Amick etc), great story (at least to begin with - it kinda gets out of hand towards the end :) )...well, great everything really. The best TV-show ever! I've seen it 5 times (3 times on Swedish TV and 2 times on Finnish)...+ I now have the whole series on video...
Good @#%$!

it truly is a novelty. it's just like David Lynch's movies -- you have to watch it intently to be able to figure any of it out. twice I've set out to watch the series, twice I've given up after missing a couple of episodes. I should get it on video, so I could finally see it all the way through; it is worth the effort.

Do you think it's on TV in USA? I could handle something like that for sure. I thought Twin Peaks was something totally different - like that hollywood soap opera bullshit.
