well, I guess SOMEONE had to start a topic on this movie. So come on my dear heathens, let's hear what you have to say about it :)

I haven't seen it, nor do I intend to; but my friends have described it brilliant entertainment, no more, no less -- something that really shouldn't be judged in accordance with the book.

Itīs amazing! It didnīt disappoint me. Although it canīt beat the big "B"!!! :)

I think it wasn't amazing, but it was still a very good movie. And visually fine too. It is always difficult to make movies on books like that, but it clearly wasn't a disappointment. There were in some parts good battle spirit. :)

...got to get rid of that happyviking face:mad:

I'm going to see it again tomorrow. It was so overwhelming the first time I didn't absorb it all. I thought it was good that they did a quick review of the Hobbit at the beginning. The landscape was beyond any words I can find to justfully describe it. I thought it did right by the book as well as any movie adaptation of a book can. I think it told the story correctly. Of course every detail of every scene in the book could not be included or it would take 20 years to film one movie. My only complaint was that more attention could have been paid to getting the runic alphabet accurate. But that certainly didn't spoil the movie by any means.

It was great! It really captured the Middle-Earth-feeling.

I read something quite disturbing today - apparently the next installment of the politically correct Star Wars saga will be out in May and - you know the producer has a crack problem - one of those ass masters from N'sync is in the movie. Fuk that, I'm not going to see it.

Itīs Braveheart of course!!! :)

Ultimate sad news concerning the forth coming StarWars! Well, The Phantom Menace wasnīt so good either. Weīll see... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

Oh, I just got the soundtrack of LOTR and I was very like: "what in the name of Odin?! Iīm in the middle of that movie again! Iīm surrounded by orcs! Cool!"

Really intensive music experience indeed!

Gotta use those bombastic baritone horns on the next MS record! :)

I finally went to see the film last night and I must say it was great. Powerful and extremely beautiful I think. It definitely reached my expectations. Though the book is of course still better............................................ .......................

Noooooo, fukk those StarWars-rapists!!! If anyone MUST see it i suggest using peer-to-peer file-transferring systems. I hope it flops.

P.S. Horns kick ass!!

Ah yes, I should have known that - Braveheart. :) That movie was great - I've seen it.....ooh.......many times :)

Damned right Phantom Menace sucked. It was so candy-assed. I don't think you'll have to worry because if this next one is even twice as good as the other one then it's sure to flop. I think they should just pack it in with the Star Wars crap because nothing they do will be able to touch the originals.

I thought the music in LotR was really good - intense is a good word to describe it. i am SOOOO glad they didn't get Blind Guardian to do it. I am tired of hearing people whinge on other forums about how Blind guardian and rhapsody should have done it, etc.

"N'Sync say they have been dropped from the new Star Wars movie. Joey Fatone rang a Florida radio station to say the scene has been scrapped. He told the Carson Radio Show on 93.3 FLZ it was because people were making a big deal about it. Fatone said the band had visited the set of Attack Of The Clones and were going to do a small scene. He said: 'I'm going to make it officially known they dropped it because people made a big deal about it. We're not going to be in it and I'm not going to comment on it any more.'" (ananova.com)

good riddance, I might add.

That was in our local newspaper Sunday :) Wow, people must hate those faggots more than we know. Yeah - good riddance for sure. maybe they can be in the sequel to The Bird Cage - they'll fit in better with that story.

Right on! Who doesn't hate those faggots?! It was bad enough that they put that Liv Tyler to play Arwen, leave the Star Wars alone! But what's wrong with the Birdcage movie? :( I loved that movie... Robin Williams and Hank Azaria rules! And VauhtiParoni... what about the big"G" or the big"C"?

Nothing's wrong with "The Bird Cage" - it's just that it was a gay movie and that's why I thought N'sync would be better suited to it. it was the first gay movie that came to mind when I was typing :)

Hihii, I know...Hank Azaria is so good at playing that Gloria Estefan-faggot! "Come on Gloria..." Actually, I can't think of any other gaymovies either.... strange....

YEZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!! The Isengard theme rules supreme!!

And the movie too. Say what you say, my dear Tolkien fanatics, I was sceptic about it first as well.
