A Great One !!!
Really cool indeed, I wish I could have been there, but at least we´re gonna see them at Tuska next summer :)

That video shows how you can really make a working video without a million bucs, I just wish we would have more places to present this, on TV I mean, I don´t have MoonTV

allissson

That's true Hanna - a ton of money is not necessary to produce a decent video, just some well shot footage and someone who knows what they are doing to edit it and Moonsorrow has both so there we are :)

I even got this video thingy, it's taking over an hour and my computer hasnt crashed yet.... My first listening of MS (though i think the pagan message is wasted on me, as i don;t speak Finnish.)

It's just awesome! When are you coming to the UK??

("not" is not an acceptable answer.)

Laine asked that did we distribute those helmets to the audience and the answer is no. The guys who worn those helmets did a very good job for the video. It would look so boring without them. So thank you Whoever you are!

Tour or gig in the UK will be very difficoult one i guess.
I´m not sure if there is any audience or interest for a band like this at the moment. But i don´t really know so much about metal scene in UK these days...

As for touring we would love to do it in every country on earth but you - the fans - need to push your local gig organizers and help us out that way, by spreading the word.

This far it has been a challenge for us to make couple of shows here in Finland too because we don´t play nice mainstream metal whatsoever. We´re just making markets for the EpicHeathenMetal and creating the best basis we can for the next album (which really is turning out a progressive one!).

Thanks for understanding!

Yeah, the video vas great!
Maybe one of those hands is mine in somewhere in the left side of the stage front. :)

Hey, somebody post into the Nyt-liite of Helsingin Sanomat in the section "hehän ovat kuin kaksi marjaa"(they are like twins etc.): a. Moonsorrow's fans b. Finnish ice-hockey team's fans.

allissson
05-09-2002, 04:34 PM
oh, btw - my congratulation to Finland on their victory over USA in the hockey. All of the best players in NHL are Finns playing for USA teams and there's the proof :)

European football is done, world cup next......my summer of slavery. Good thing it's only once every 4 years.

thekjide
05-10-2002, 03:37 PM
What's wrong with the soccer world cup?
Oh, maybe it's because USA aren't qualified... :)
I bet we'll (we=french) win again in June... european champion and twice world champion would be nice :D

allissson
05-10-2002, 04:34 PM
it doesn't matter one way or the other if USA is qualified or not - my husband is British. :) He wants England to win.

Why is it so bad? Come spend 2 weeks at my house while this is on.....you'll see. ;) You can help me serve the constant supply of beer and food that has to be maintained and clean up after him. :p

Sports seem to be the only thing in which strong nationalism isn't labeled nazi.

allissson
05-10-2002, 05:57 PM
how true! One only needs to go to a football ground in London on any given saturday and see true nazis in action. A Chelsea-Millwall game is SURE to have problems. They have these skinhead assholes and other yobs. I got cured of going to football games real quick when I lived there.

Serenity
05-10-2002, 06:42 PM
And grown men can kiss and hug and cry only because of sports.

I f...king hate sports. They are planning to rise tv payments because of the sport programmes and that´s the moment I´ll throw my tv out if that is what it takes. (In my neightbourhood you´ll have to pay the fees because the inspectors are behind the door every week)

allissson
05-10-2002, 06:56 PM
oh yeah, grown men - quite many of them - have no problem making absolute asses of themselves over sports games. Getting totally obnixious watching football.

I despise sports myself.

vitr
05-12-2002, 12:57 AM
Oh no, Allison - not just putting up with it in the house, but you had to actualy watch it live as well!?!? :x

I suggest you get six more cats, to balance this out. :D

allissson
05-13-2002, 06:56 AM
yeah, well my trips to the football grounds didn't last long. It just took a couple of incidents to put me off it for good. These people go there and act like vitun assholes. it seems that a punch-up is a necessary part of every game.

Laine
05-13-2002, 05:26 PM
It's just a capitalist plot to focus all the energy of people so they can't do revolutionary stuff. And this might be my last message for a week plus a day, Going to Brazil. (or Denmark)

Oh, and we'll be going to some Viking museum too. Gotta remember to take pictures.

allissson
05-13-2002, 05:54 PM

So there it is: have a nice trip to wathever place you're going, Laine.

05-15-2002, 02:25 AM
Have fun, Laine!

And I agree about the chanelling of ignorant aggression... our uni was split into about 12 colleges and all the rich kids were hellbent on beating the others at sport and would jeer at them for the next month "Yaaah, arse-boys! we beat you at (insert random pointless sport here), you're all pu.ssies etc." And you would get bar brawls and all sorts.

Pakana
05-15-2002, 09:50 AM
But thekjide, USA is qualified for the world cup. :)

allissson
05-15-2002, 05:25 PM
oh don't worry Pakana, they won't need to pack but 2-3 days worth of clothes when they leave for Korea or Japan, wherever it is. According to my husband, England is going to win it. Me, Idon't care who wins as long as it is over with soon as possible.

thekjide
05-16-2002, 08:36 AM
Pakana: ok, USA may be qualified, but I give them up to the second round to be eliminated. Everybody knows USA is the greatest nation for soccer... ;) (<-- please note). As allissson said, they won't last long.

For the prophecies on the world cup, I'd say Italy is going to win. I'll get killed for saying this, but I reckon it's fun watching when it gets to quatrer-final (before that it's just boring).
And it's just an entertainment, not a contest for world domination... There isn't a big deal for a country to win the cup, since it's sport, not elections.

Pakana
05-17-2002, 12:35 PM
Did (any of) you happen to know that USA is on the 13th position in the FIFA ranking? (Just one step behind England.)

thekjide
05-17-2002, 12:46 PM
What???
I didn't knew about that at all... Especially that England was 12th. But I still think that England plays much better than USA.
Ok, Pakana you may support USA if you want, but I'll bet a copy of the next Moonsorrow album with you if they don't win (how to get the new Moonsorrow album for free ;) ).
Anyway, USA may be 13th, but we're first.

allissson
05-17-2002, 04:30 PM
I don't know much about the rankings. that must be what husband has been waffling on about. If Beckham is fit to play after his injury then those odds will change I think.
In any case Kjide, count me in on that bet too because it's a sure one.

I personally like Cameroon best because those people know how to have a good time at a football match and they have colourful uniforms.

Serenity
05-17-2002, 04:42 PM
The only thing that would get me to watch football is the good-looking men, but then I wouldn´t see many games of England, oops, didn´t mean to be mean ;)

Ice-hockey is the only sport I can even watch for fun if I haven´t got ANYTHING else to do.

Pakana
05-17-2002, 10:18 PM
Just to emphasize that I do not support USA. And I won't take part in that bet, y'know. ;)

Portugal and Brazil are my faves. They really love to play and they play beautiful offensive football unlike Italy and the likes.

Baldur Vulgo
05-18-2002, 02:50 AM
Yep, Brazil and Portugal are my faves as well. They still play football as it was supposed to be played; offensive with an eagerness to "show-off"! I

of course hope that the Swedes will do well but I doubt they will even qualify for the quarter finals. They lost today to Paraguay btw. (oooh what a rhyme)

I do however believe that Argentina will win the gold...but I hope Portugal will bring it home...

allissson
05-20-2002, 02:41 AM
Argentina is the team that cheated that time aren't they? That guy touched the ball with his hands.

vitr
05-20-2002, 03:20 AM
Serenity, tell me about it!

But footballers are a bit of a treat for English women, since 90% of over-20 men have pot bellies. :( Hair's too short for me, though. ;)

thekjide
05-20-2002, 09:48 AM
Pakana: I knew you don't support USA, I was just trying to get you mad. But I can still get that Moonsorrow album, right? :D

Since everybody is giving their prophecies, here is mine: we just lost 2-1 against Belgium, so I don't think France will win this time. Brazil neither, although I fully agree they play beutifully.
Argentina might win, so does Italy, with a crapy defensive game.

allissson: Argentina is the team that cheated, against England if I remember correctly. That was the worst goal ever.

allissson
05-20-2002, 06:38 PM
And that footballer turned into a whoremongering cocaine addict as well. I suppose he's ended up in a gutter somewhere in some Argentinian ghetto by now.

I just got an Email from SFPerkele´s webmeister who told me that the video was downloaded 5868 times during one week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That´s the 4th place in the whole video-downloading history of SFP and the only artists that have been more successful during years (?) were Nightwish (9973 downloads), Children of Bodom (6682 downloads) and Rotten Sound. (8261 downloads)

So,thank you, everyone, who downloaded it and remember that it is still available from our site if you missed it for some reason! ;)

Is what mr. Maradona called this incident ie. his hand guiding
the ball to the goal. I believe that divine intervention was not qualified for an excuse. Furthermore I claim to have read somewhere that our aforementioned cocaine-guy is a manager of sorts nowadays. So children, you see now that you have to be wicked in order to become something. ;)

Anyway... @#%$ soccer.

I should have known you'd talk about football or something like that when I'm gone...

The Viking museum in Roskilde is a fuc.king must-see for everyone, they even sell 20% powerful mead in there (didn't buy any, as I had spent all my money by then). And so is the stone-age village (they have mead too). A fun trip if you don't count the long hours sitting in the bus trying to listen your own cd's loud enough so you wouldn't hear the music and noises of other people. Of course with a few exceptions the rest of the class is plain sh.it, no special mention for that... but remember the vikings if you ever go there. A good record store in Studiestraede (Copenhagen), the name was Fox-something.

Maybe a good merchandising idea would be for Moonsorrow to make sick bags (like you get on the airplane) with the logo on it and hand them out to these alcoholic apprentices at the door. ;)
