Finally back from Milwaukee, and what a blast it was.

Friday we arrived in time to see Macabre, they put on a sick little set. Then we saw Enslaved and they were quite good. I saw Grutel walking around and mingling with the fans both days. I also saw Glen Benton and the Vital Remains guys walking around. I was too scared to approach Glen though. I did however meet one of the greatest drummers Gene Hoagland (formerly w/ Death, currently w/ Strapping Young Lad) and he was really cool. I wsa mesmerized as I watched him play drums as Strapping Young Lad was playing. I don't care for Devin's vocals though. Naglfar was awesome. Windir was cool too.

The second night we saw Divine Empire, who are totally brutal. They continued to play even when the sound guy pulled the plug on the vocals. Bands are only allowed a certain amount of time there. MOD was quite entertaining and my favorite part. Billy Malano is hilarious and very patriotic, going on about the war and how he loves living in the USA, and going off on System of A Down and Rage Against the Machine. They played an SOD song "United Forces" and Dan Lilker and Glen Benton got on stage with him for it. Then we saw Nuclear Assault, they did most of their old songs and the singer/guitarist got down into the crowd and started playing and singing there. That was wild. Then we saw Vital Remains they were awesome even though Glen didn't know the lyrics and was bent over reading them as he sung them. Then he'd wad up the paper and throw it in the audience. He kept saying this was their third "practice". Then the guitarist busted his guitar and threw pieces of it to the audience. Then we saw Suffocation and they were brutal as fuck, then it was time to crash. We ended up with a shitload of new cds and 8 videos. Not as many freebees this year. No zines were really being given out either. We used to get tons in the past years. Oh well.

After that me and my husband went to northern Wisconsin until today. Now its back to the norm.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we also saw this horrible band called Lullacry. The singer had an aweful voice and the music was just plain boring. Then there was another band with a girl in it and she did some opera singing and she looked scared to death up on stage.

So next year we need a female fronted band that kicks ass like Enter Chaos!!!!!!!!

Sounds like she has a busy schedule. Did she take Filip with her or leave him with you?
