Spinefarm sub-label RANCH??? this mean that... hmmm... TBL will be very rare outside Finland?

what does sub-label imply in general? that TBL remain in the shadows for good? no tours, especially not outside finland? hardly any album availability outside finland (as eld asked) ? no promotion, no merch (ok, there was none before either, or hardly any) ?
so, TBL will become a studio band, and finally disband cos all are in some way occupied in other fields?

i think that they are moved to rock label...

That's really sad, but I don't see much changes. Although they are at Spinefarm, TBL is still hard to get here and as far as I know they haven't got a tour outside Finland yet either. The only merch, I know about is some nice TBL sticker that I saw in the Corner Bar in Helsinki (btw: does anybody know, where to get these stickers?)

But I hope that they'll keep on rocking and that maybe someday I've got a chance to see them live.....

There is nothing sad about it at all. They are still on the Spinefarm label, with the exact same distribution as before. If anything things will be better as the people who handle Ranch will have more time and money to focus on TBL as they have fewer bands on the label. Mannhai has had great distribution and promotion from Ranch. I think this will be a good thing....

You mean the "I (a spade sign) The Black League" stickers? I had a bunch of those but I have given them out already and I only have one left now :( Sorry dude.... :(

Nah come on now Eld. I am sure Ranch will be good for the League. I have never seen a Black League album in Sweden either, I have however seen the latest Mannhai in every store! Hopefully Ranch will do an equally good job for TBL....

Hmh... weird. It's the opposite for me. There's TBL in most stores (that I visit), but I think I have never seen Mannhai album in a store. Then again, I probably haven't paid much attention to Mannhai albums so it could be just that I didn't notice them.

Anyway, good news that the album is on the way. Obviously, being a finn, I'm not so concerned about the distribution on the new label, but does this new label mean the next album will be even more rockier? Interesting....

From the demo songs I've heard so far it will be a lot harder and darker than Utopia. Some songs are a bit rocky and some are more in the vein of Ichor...

ouuuuuuuuuuuuh... GREAT!!! :)

by the way... lately I've read a review that said "the black league is like smoking pot"...
...ääääähm... well it sounds really funny at the first moment but I guess it's the best description I've EVER read... :D

Hahaha perhaps a good metaphor. I wouldn't know since I stay away from narcotics. I only drink beer :)

I wouldn't know since I stay away from narcotics.

well... me to...

but... the mere "idea" of being stoned (assuming that it’s a positive one 'in general'… *...*) is a good comparison with the feeling when listening to tbl - you like it so much that you don’t want to let it go... ;)

The recordings of the new album will take place starting in August, not in October as I previously stated!

i hope that both Chaosbreed's recording session and the League's recording session don't interfere (delays and such) :spin:
