Hmm, I think keyboards sometimes is neccessary when playing certain pieces of music. Like Enslaved's Frost or Thyrfing's När Slaget är Vunnet...

But I really dislike when played such as Dimmu Borgir do, when they mix kind of techno-slings with metal...

Keyboards in Metal are invented by gay metal bands that can't brought the needed atmosphere with the guitars only... Just imagine Cradle of Filth or Dummy Burger with NO Key's... they will sound like bad and cheap black metal wannabies... Death Metal and Black metal bust be evil... not gay!

ouch, I have to disagree... some bands make keyboards work well.. Children of Bodom for instance... and Soilwork, maybe keyboards don't have a place in black metal... but who's to say they do or don't... I'd rather just listen to the stuff I like and ignore the stuff I don't. Too much energy is wasted on hatred these days.
