I am seriously disappointed that Tompa is gone. Jimmie will never stand up to Tompa - I feel bad for him. It's almost like when Aro tried to replace Dolving in The Haunted. All of Tompa's other projects were O.K. at best. Nightrage was the only one that actually sounded good. Here lies Nightrage... I'm really pissed. I haven't been this depressed since the departure of At The Gates. Even if Jimmie does pull through... it still won't be the same.

Hey, Marco did a great job. He really did something for the Haunted's live act.

Are you kidding? Aro was terrible. He was awesome in Face Down (The Twisted Rule The Wicked). Without Dolving (with Aro) The Haunted was just a run of the mill band. I'm glad Dolving is band. Anyway, that is all besides the point. Tompa leaving Nightrage depresses me more than the splitting of At The Gates. Why couldn't he drop The Great Deceiver... they kinda suck... no... they do suck.

I think we should give the new vocalist a chance before we pass judgement. Lindberg is good but he has been surpassed before with other projects. Johan Lindstrand did a better job then Lindberg with the Crowned Unholy re-recording. That all being said, I'm still dissappointed about Lindberg leaving but I'm interested in seeing what the new guy sounds like.
i don't think so. Lindberg is along with Stanne one of the best death metal vocalists there are. and the re-recording of Crowned Unholy with Lindstrand is - in my eyes - poor.

i dont like jimmies voice at death destruction.. maybe it'll be better in nightrage. i give him a chance but i know ... he cant reach tomas godlike voice ... btw.: johann lindstrands voice destroyed the genius crowned in terror album.

You guys are just biased, though I'm not here to debate vocalists because it's a matter of opinion. Listen to the intro of Under the Whip from both albums, listen to Lindberg's growl and Lindstrands scream, it's basically a summary of the comparison of both of their voices in each album. Lindberg may be an overall better vocalist but Lindstrand was a better vocalist for The Crown. Maybe you like Lindberg from the album better but to say that Lindstrand ruined the album is just ridiculous Tomas Lindberg fanboyism.

Tomas Lindberg's vocals on Crowned in Terror are easily the best he's ever done, in my opinion. And they're probably the best vocals in metal that I've ever heard. I've listened to this album hundreds of times, but I'm still amazed every time I hear it. The guy doesn't sound human. I'm a big fan of Johan Lindstrand and The Crown's other albums, but I think Crowned Unholy is pretty bad. I prefer Lindberg's vocal performance by a long shot, but that isn't why I like Crowned in Terror more. The drumming on CIT is amazing, but on CU, it sounds like crap. The blastbeats sound terrible. I thought the production was supposed to be improved, but I think they made it worse.
